Do I Need To Learn To Code HTML To Build and Design My Own Website?

You Don't Really Need To Know HTML If You Have The Right Tools.

Obtain some web design software, and a graphics editor.

You can learn HTML from your WYSIWYG editor as you create your website.

One of the first things you might like to learn is how to put some fancy things to your website.

These things may look cool to you, but they can be annoying or distractive to your visitors, they won't help you get more visitors, and they won't necessarily help your website.

The most important aspect of your website is not how fancy it appears (though it should be neat), but how much information and and assistance you offer your visitors.

When you review your changes to your website design, look at it from a complete stranger's point of view.

"Is there anything here I'm interested in?" or "Man this is cheesy!"

If you can't be honest with yourself, get an opinion from that someone you know will give you the truth. (We all know someone like this).

Another thing worth mentioning is the thought that you don't need a website or your own domain name for internet marketing.

Opinions vary on this subject and some have been successful conducting business on blogs or through email.

Many think that people in general, are more comfortable doing business at a dot-com website, than a blog for example.

Regardless of what is said, a dot-com website does carry a level of professionalism with it.

It demonstrates that you are a professional operating your business and not just someone playing with a hobby.
